Who is she?

I’m Alexandra, a yoga teacher [in training], [sub-4 hour!] marathon runner and freelance writer [and editor], living and working in Cambridge.

I started writing lifestyle pieces and features whilst I studied English at Royal Holloway, University of London, where I wrote for – and edited – The Orbital, the Students’ Union Official Publication. During my busy year at The Orbital, I was a contributor, then sub-editor, deputy editor, and finally, editor.

Since then, I’ve written about books for We Love This Book, the online book reviews site of The Bookseller. I write about travel, too, and I’ve written for Ryanair’s Let’s Go! Magazine, easyJet’s Traveller magazine, B*Spirit! Magazine for Brussels Airline and Metropolitan, the multi-lingual Eurostar magazine, all during a hectic but incredibly worthwhile internship with Ink Global.

Mostly though, I write about fashion and fitness – ever since I was lucky enough to be chosen as ELLE’s Winning Editor Intern as part of the Edited by the Interns initiative. I edited the October issue of ELLE, with Gwen Stefani as the cover star, and wrote lots of bits and pieces for the magazine and online.

After that, I was the womenswear product writer for luxury online retailer my-wardrobe.com, where I got paid to describe beautiful things all day. I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t tons of fun. Next, I went on to be Editorial Assistant, and then Homepage Editor for Style & Living, the brand new and exciting editorial platform for Marks & Spencer.

Then, I moved out of London and back to my beautiful hometown, so I could run further, sprint faster and stretch just a little bit more often.

If you’re interested in hearing more about what I do – or want me to come and do some of that stuff with you – then you can find me on instagram or simply send me an email and say hello:
